Uganda Bible Project Blog |
Uganda Bible Project is dedicated to giving Bibles to all in Uganda who yearn to read and study God’s Word, but lack access or the means to get a Bible. God’s Word in the hands of the people is a simple, yet powerful tool that is bringing transformation to individuals, families, and communities. UBP distributes Bibles through established, ongoing partnerships with local ministries and churches in Uganda who demonstrate a commitment to outreach and discipleship. Just $6 buys a Bible for someone in Uganda with 100% of all donations going directly to the purchase of Bibles. |
Nathan is a university student in Kampala, Uganda. He came from a Christian background but had disregarded the faith for quite a long time. In school he had been living a life full of partying and wild pursuits for quite some time. His selfish pursuit of enjoyment and pleasure had damaged his relationship with his parents, and even school administration.
Nathan felt his life was lacking any meaning, and with all his indulgence, felt only greater emptiness. A friend suggested he go and talk to the pastor of United Faith Chapel, the student church fellowship on campus . After struggling for two more weeks and even contemplating suicide, he finally went to meet with the pastor. After a week and half of talking and praying together, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, and received his own Bible provided through Uganda Bible Project.
Nathan is faithfully devoted to attending discipleship meetings and Bible studies on campus to grow in his relationship with the Lord and his understanding of the Word.
